Fern’s Health is Undeniable
by ryland
The towering in-fern-o had the first of her three health-related appointments today. The verdict: she’s fit as a fiddle and ready to get dragged around the world. Next stop, is the USDA veterinarian out in Sutton, MA and then finally over to the Consulate Ad Honorem of Ecuador in Needham. This was the only appointment that we actually had to bring Fern to, as the next two are just to have the validity of the health certificate endorsed, so we pulled out all the stops. This morning Fern got a full-body flea comb followed by a bath just to make sure that we knocked that vet’s socks off. She looked like a million bucks. A million tiny little bucks. Dog bucks.

The next stop is the USDA office this coming Wednesday. That means we are exactly one week from leaving as of tomorrow. Yikes. From there the drive down to Miami begins as we head south down the east coast. At any rate, we’ll check in shortly, but for now we’re in the throws of packing ecstasy.
